I found Jonah Lehrer’s main argument to be centered around the need to introduce the arts into the sciences. He explains that we miss out on the progression of science. Art is not separate, but is a key piece to science and the understanding of its many concepts. Art is able to help us visualize and to show us new perspectives – this is how discoveries are made. It is important to allow the arts to settle back in where they belong with the field of science.  We have forgotten how present art should be in the world, and it is time to let it back in to our field of view. With this collaboration of the arts and sciences, we would give ourselves the chance to excel and have a better understanding of the world around us. Ultimately, this is what we strive for as humans. We live to make advancements on what we have and to make new discoveries whenever possible.
