I completed this ongoing essay individually, so I did not get the experience of working with a team on it. Reflecting, I think I did benefit from practicing time management for myself and not relying on team members. I also found it beneficial in the sense that I was able to really do all of the research into the evidence-based articles and choose a topic that I was really interested in. However, I also understand how important it is to be able to work as part of a team in nursing, both with fellow nurses and with members of the team from other professions. I do have experience with working as part of a team through my work as a nursing assistant for the past 2 years. It was good for me to take this course as an opportunity for me to work on my individual working skills, which are also necessary to be a successful nurse. Time management and planning were definitely a big part of this paper’s process for me. I feel much more confident in my abilities to thoroughly complete work myself, without excessively relying on others.
